Service pour l'Ordre de la Jarretière à Windsor

Traditionnel service annuel pour l'Ordre de la Jarretière ce 16 juin en la chapelle Saint George du château de Windsor en présence de nombreux membres de la famille royale britannique.
La duchesse de Cornouailles n'a pas pu assister à la cérémonie car elle était souffrante.

L'Ordre de la Jarretière fondé en 1348 par le roi Edward III est le plus ancien ordre de chevalerie britannique et le plus prestigieux. Les chevaliers de l'Ordre sont choisis par le souverain britannique sans consultation du Premier ministre. Le nombre des chevaliers est limité à 24 (les chevaliers royaux et étrangers non compris).
